  • Avoiding Common Pesticide Storage Mistakes
Oregon OSHA, Leilani Monson, Garnet Cooke and Lori Cohen

Storing pesticides safely presents many challenges. Problems resulting from the improper storage of pesticides transcend multiple State (and Federal) jurisdictions. Pesticide storage violations as a group are one of the most frequently violated areas in OR OSHA's Pesticide Emphasis Program. This presentation will assist growers in understanding the reasoning behind the regulations and provide them with the tools necessary to conduct their own assessments of their facilities to determine their own "opportunities for improvement," prior to an OR-OSHA inspection.

  • Pesticide General Permit
Beth Moore, Oregon Dept. of Environment Quality

Beth Moore is the General Permit Coordinator in the Surface Water Management Program for DEQ. She will be giving a presentation on the response to the EPA Final Rule on the application of pesticides directly to, over or near water — summary of the final rule, the 6th Circuit Court ruling and the next steps.
